Leon Sung, 
Managing Director and Chief Business Officer

Leon Sung is a Board Member, Deputy President, and Managing Director at New Omni Bank, National Association, where he has been serving since June 2011. With a focus on innovation and cross-border financial solutions, Mr. Sung has been instrumental in forming a banking network through a digital platform, collaborating with banks across the Pacific Rim to enhance user experience in cross-border payments.

In his role as Deputy President and Chief Business Officer, Mr. Sung works closely with the President to manage the bank, demonstrating leadership and strategic vision. He played a crucial role in negotiating and signing contracts with WeChat Pay and AliPay in 2017, making New Omni Bank the only U.S. bank to provide settlement services for both platforms. Additionally, he has served as the Product Manager for Portfolio Residential Mortgage, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing training to employees.

Before his tenure at New Omni Bank, Mr. Sung was a Loan Officer at EverTrust Bank from April 2005 to April 2011. In this role, he analyzed and underwrote commercial real estate construction, business working capital, and mortgage loans, successfully underwriting 68 loans totaling $122 million. He also worked with the Special Assets Department to resolve problem loans and created the CRA database and annual CRA report.

Mr. Sung began his career as a Financial Analyst at Millennium Capital Partners Ltd., where he supported cross- border real estate investment projects, communicated with prospective partners in China, and completed proforma financial analyses for development projects.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Corporate Finance, from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.

Eric Wu, 
Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer

Eric Wu is the Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at New Omni Bank, bringing over 30 years of extensive banking experience to the role. Since joining New Omni Bank in 2011, he has played a pivotal role in significantly expanding the bank’s commercial real estate and construction lending portfolios.

Mr. Wu began his career at First Continental Bank. A chance encounter with the Chairman of New Omni Bank led him to join EverTrust Bank, where he quickly rose through the ranks, progressing from Credit Analyst to Branch Manager and ultimately becoming a Commercial Loan Manager.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Wu has developed deep expertise in commercial real estate loans, including construction, bridge, and short-term commercial loans. He is passionate about developing innovative lending solutions that meet the unique needs of businesses and real estate developers, and his dedication to client success has earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor and a respected leader in the commercial lending industry.

Mr. Wu holds a degree in Business Management from California State University, Los Angeles.
