Dive & Thrive: How to Avoid Probate at Death - Without a Trust or an Attorney

Wednesday, July 16, 2025 (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (PDT)

Description

While revocable living trusts are a common estate planning tool, they aren’t always the most straightforward or affordable option. In this session, you’ll learn:

  • Why a trust is not necessary to avoid probate.
  • Trusts that have not been updated in over 10 years may plant a landmine for an unnecessary capital gain with administrative strain.
  • How California’s Transfer on Death Deed allows for a transfer without capital gains or reassessment on property tax.
  • What lawmakers have done to make estate planning more accessible.
  • The pros and cons of using tools outside of a trust.
