All new members of West San Gabriel Valley REALTORS® (WSGVR) are required to attend an in-person New Member Orientation and complete both the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Code of Ethics training and Fair Housing training.
These requirements must be completed within the first 90 days of membership. Failure to complete the required training within the designated timeframe may result in termination of membership.
Upon timely completion of these requirements, members will receive the refundable portion of their Orientation deposit.
The New Member Orientation program, held monthly and conducted in person, provides important information designed to help new REALTORS® begin their careers successfully. Topics include professional standards and Anti-Trust guidelines, strategies for building your business, an introduction to Multiple Listing Services (MLS), and an overview of the Association and the resources available to members.
As a courtesy to members who arrive on time, late arrivals will be asked to reschedule for a future session once the program has begun. Members must remain for the full duration of the presentations in order to receive credit for completing New Member Orientation.
Check-in begins at 8:50 AM, and coffee and refreshments will be provided.
The orientation program runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
